Private Events at Hapke’s Hortum

Interested in hosting a private workshop at Hapke’s Hortum?

We offer small private workshops, team building events, and can accommodate micro and small private events as small as 10 and as large as 30. At this time we cannot accommodate non-workshop events.

Weekend event rentals are only available outside of business hours during peak shopping season (May-August). Our business hours from May-December are 11am-6pm.

Private Workshop FAQ’s

Is there a minimum amount of guests required to book?

Yes, we require a minimum of 10 guests to book a private event.

What dates are available for me to book a private workshop?

Private workshops are only available to book before or after our store hours; before 11am or after 6pm. Available dates are subject to our current event calendar, please check available dates here.

Is there a maximum amount of guests?

Yes, due to our store being small, we can only accommodate a max of 20 seated guests, or 30 seated & standing.

What is the cost?

We offer a range of workshop pricing, starting at $30 and for advanced level workshops, $55.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes! We require a deposit of 50% of your expected guest count upon booking. This just assures that we can hold your date, instead of booking other workshops or events.

What kind of workshops can I book?

Great question! We offer anything from paint a pot, to collage workshops, a bamboo bar, airplant bar, and advanced level workshops like kokedama and staghorn fern mounts. Don’t see something you like? Feel free to ask us!

We kindly ask that you fill out the form above and we will get back to you to plan your event as soon as we can.

Can I bring my own food & drink?

You sure can. Just keep in mind our space is limited. We can offer our checkout/bar as a place to set up a food and drink station. We do require you to bring all of your own flatware, cups and cutlery.
